WHO'S AFRAID OF THE BIG BAD WOLF

Image
I decided to enjoy some culture the other night and My friend HotDog and I went and caught a Blues Festival that was here in town.  It was greatly  attended by about 10 thousand people to hear the songs of the blues from 3 stages.  TIFFANY the 80's young sensation( did remake of Tommy James hit Think We are alone now) was the main headliner. CASSANDRA LEWIS was the lead up and She should have been the main act not Tiffany but I am not the organizer. We positioned ourselves near the side of the stage and noticed there were 2 other graphers with albums in hopes of getting them autographed. TIFFANYs moments on stage lasted under a hour and even repeated her one big hit twice. She seemed personal and came off the stage( much to the delight of many I was told that it was over) and had a few people of security surrounding her. She signed 3 pictures and said " I have to go" There was no waiting car limo nothing. But she had to go. So Hotdog and I who are persiste...

Rocking with Stephen Pearcy

Image
I have loved ROCK N ROLL for so many years that I was there in the beginning. There have been so many Rock Bands no one could ever keep count and endless Lead Singers that Have Come and Gone and those that are still performing at a quality level. The Rock Band RATT had several hits (Round and Round, Lay it Down and the critically acclaimed album OUT OF THE CELLAR)  but the stand out will always be STEPHEN PEARCY.       I saw him perform a few times and as early as last month *80s in the Park over near the coast. As in many artists stories are told on different personalities of which much is Fact and others Fiction. I have learned many times, the only truth is what You believe and very importantly experience.          Some have said Stephen was difficult to be around, hard to work with but my personal experience with him this past weekend only grades High marks. He is a personal guy and I truly believe he...

PLEASE NOT EVERYTHING and EVERYONE SELLS ON EBAY

Image
Had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Comedian ELAYNE BOOSLER the other night but walked away what many of the Celebs must be thinking when asking for an autograph. She was wonderful and accommodating for 2 of us who approached her after the show to sign a total of 2 photos each. When the first grapher asked for a picture also she said' Let me hold it up to show it is authenticated"  And when I had her sign my item she laughingly said" You can get 50 cents for that on Ebay" .      That is far from the first time we have heard that and surely will not be the last. I remember TOMMY DAVIDSON also a comedian looked at us and said' How much will they go on Ebay" and I finally turned the tables. I looked at him and said" What if We did. You will be helping a fellow American maybe make a Buck or two". He was shocked and caught off guard and said" OH, It's OK . I a only kidding. " I knew he was not but I wish some if not all could ...

Ziggy Marley needs to Learn from his Fathers Legacy

I have always been a great fan of ZIGGY MARLEY and believed his words that how much  life is Important and to be happy. I listened to his music but from this day forth NEVER AGAIN. Ziggy was playing a small venue  and I was truly planning to see the show. I decided to try to meet him to sign a couple of photos and a beautiful piece that I had from his father BOB MARLEY. So I waited with 2 other fans who had a couple of items and that he would be happy to say hello to his fans that have supported him over the years. Bob Marley would always hang out after many of his shows telling stories and would talk to anyone who would listen. He was a class act. We waited  and he showed up in a van with what must have been his so called manager or maybe he thought he was a body guard. We called to him from a  few feet away only to have deaf ears to our requests, The So Called Manager came by and RUDELY stated " Go over there by the fence' We looked at one another an...

MICHAEL J. FOX TROUBLES AT THE AIRPORT

I have been collecting autographs and meeting many celebrities for so many years , I have lost count on my many encounters with them mostly good but of course there will be so ones You want and will forget. NOT TODAY. A friend of mine told me that MICHAEL J. FOX was coming into Orlando as a stop over at DISNEY before he participated in an event in Jacksonville, Florida.     I had always wanted to meet this great star that I have admired over the years because of his courage and drive to not let his disease of PARKINSONS defeat him as long as he could keep going. When I arrived to my disbelief but not surprise there were about 40 professional graphers waiting for him in the area where he would be exiting off the tram from the airplane. I have said it many times there is no security that can not be breached and these people were the best proof of my statement. They waited in a line calmly I must say holding guitars, baseballs, 11 x 14 photos and one brought a bo...

WHEN AT FIRST YOU DO NOT ACHIEVE TRY TRY AGAIN

Image
My buddy Hotdog and I decided to venture out for an autograph of JOHN SLATTERY noted as Roger Sterling in the hit series MAD MEN. Though most would not recognize him on the street we were both fans of the show. We went to an area where we have met other stars at the beginning of the event as most check in before taking a 100 mile motorcycle run for a good charity. Well as good plans go ,we never saw him until the run began and saw him leading the pack and off he went. We thought for a while and said ? What the Hell? It was a beautiful day and thought lets try to find the place. And with the help of another biker we arrived, participated in the activities, donated money to the cause and chatted and met. Slattery. We started home and got a call of a new up and coming duo ALEX and SIERRA who were doing a CD signing in a local mall. I had time to kill and decided to see if the opportunity was there though I was told they were there at  1 PM  and it alread...

PAUL REVERE PASSES ON AND NOW SINGING WITH ALL THE LEGENDS

Image
Today I just found out another singing legend of the 60's has pass on and will be missed, singer. PAUL REVERE .PAUL REVERE AND THE RAIDERS were a big success in the 60's and kept playing on the music circuit until the present day. They had many hits most notably KICKS (which was on ROLLING STONES top 500 list of all time), Hungry and Indian Reservation to name a few. I as many did for many years got the chance to hear the band play at DISNEY'S Flower Festival Concert series but I was truly one of the lucky ones to meet and talk with him at length. He was sharp signed a few albums and had a story about all of them. Up to last year he did not look the 76 years of age where they toured regularly and always wore their Revolutionary Uniforms to a great crowd who had so many memories when all the songs were big hits. I know death is evitable but I still have a hard time with so many entertainers that were a special part of us growing up. Here is to Never Growing Old!
