WHEN AT FIRST YOU DO NOT ACHIEVE TRY TRY AGAIN
My buddy Hotdog and I decided to venture out for an autograph of JOHN SLATTERY noted as Roger Sterling in the hit series MAD MEN. Though most would not recognize him on the street we were both fans of the show. We went to an area where we have met other stars at the beginning of the event as most check in before taking a 100 mile motorcycle run for a good charity. Well as good plans go ,we never saw him until the run began and saw him leading the pack and off he went. We thought for a while and said ? What the Hell? It was a beautiful day and thought lets try to find the place. And with the help of another biker we arrived, participated in the activities, donated money to the cause and chatted and met. Slattery. We started home and got a call of a new up and coming duo ALEX and SIERRA who were doing a CD signing in a local mall. I had time to kill and decided to see if the opportunity was there though I was told they were there at 1 PM and it already was 2:30. After criss crossing thru a mall that I have not been in for 20 years, as I approached the store they were exiting. Though their handlers were saying that they have to go they both stopped and chatted with me and left a very favorable impression and I truly hope they do go far. MY NEXT STOP was off to a venue with KEVIN JAMES performing and there were about 6 others waiting patiently. He was in Tampa the night before and did not sign so we were preparing for the worst scenario. The staff at the venue came out and said he was not going to sign autographs and told us to stay across the road. These are still public streets and their requests eventually fell on deaf ears. About 6 PM he pulled up driving his own car and as he left it appeared he was going to ignore us until one grapher yelled out? Kevin come on there are only 6 of us:: James turned and walked over to us and would sign one each but when I mentioned about his ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE for ALS that he did , he looked at me and said Thank You Very Much, signed another picture and off he went into the venue. My wife who does handwriting analysis looked at his signature and it revealed that he does not like alot of crowds around him but no difficulty performing for them. She was right on. He did not have to come over but because it was only a few, he took the time. Overall it was a long day but truly enjoyable
