Not every celeb or personality is a household name but the magic is they usually are the gem in the forest. Country singer NEIL MCCOY was in town performing at a up and personal venue and though I admired his talent ,I truly never was a big fan. NOT UNTIL TONIGHT. When he sings a blind man can see that he enjoys and is very spiritual when he sings not a couple of his big hits but every song. His voice still resonates and I found a little different from the fraternity of other country singers. After the show, he waited and greeted all that wanted to say hello, get an autograph or picture where he took the time to share some kind words and in many cases some great stories. I wanted to meet him to say Thank You for all that he does for our veterans and when I did when I approached him, he had one of the great smiles anyone has not seen in a while. There are many who have changed the landscape of how our daily lives over the years. Today, July 28, 2015 was one of those days when we met someone who has changed millions of lives. It was someone we never thought we would meet in our wildest dreams. Co-founder of the APPLE, STEVE " WOZ" WOZNIAK, was in town giving a speech (or as he says," Fireside Chat") to the Global Travelers Convention. One of my good friends took the iniative to call him and asked for him at his hotel. Now, 90% of the time one would never be transfered to their room or they travel under a different name so no record of them being there might result in a no hookup. But, this time, the hotel, for some reason, transfered him to the Presidential Suite and he picked up. They chatted for a few minutes until Woznizk said, "Lets have dinner together and I will get back in touch.". Like many of us; one never wants to jinx a moment that you have high hopes of happening especially when You always wanted to meet a special personality.. In this case Legendary Singer MICKEY GILLEY was performing at a venue with in driving range and we knew this 79 year old singer and performer does not come around every day to our area. Three of us took the hour drive and I tried to tamper how I felt in hopes of meeting this Icon after the show. As everyone left we wandered near where his bus was at in hopes of seeing him up close instead of a far like most everyone does in a concert venue. As we were waiting , one of his band members pointed out his son and I politely asked if Mickey would mind signing for us. Hopefully he said as they had a long trip to Illinois tonight for a show plus Mickey had a touch of pneumonia. We all stayed positive as we did not hear a no. Many people have listen to 50 CENTS sing for sometime and though many can not name every song they are more likely to know the woes that this young man has experienced over the past year. He filed bankruptcy and told the world all the pomp and circumstance that he displayed with jewelry and fancy cars was just a put on and most was borrowed and not his own. Now personally I can not say it was all true or false but we had the opportunity to meet him this week. Now it was a tour not of music but promoting his EFFEN Vodka at many liquor stores in the Central Florida area. Though normally he is a tough signer he was signing his bottles and other items that You brought to the event. My buddy and I went to many call the Hood and along with about 50 people waiting to meet him, everyone was friendly and more than pleasant. If You bought 2 bottles you were consider a VIP so at 25 dollars a bottle many were willing to meet this talented Young Man. We waited a short time and thoug
