ALL SHOULD BE LIKE THOMAS IAN NICHOLAS

Image
Who is Thomas Ian Nicholas? When You mention THE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR with his character Henry Rowengartner the light goes on as one of the favorites of so many especially the Cub fans. Then there was the American Pie series( 4 movies to date) as the character Kevin whose love interests was Tara Reid. Now I have seen those movies several times and I again met him for the 3rd time last evening where he showed off his great talent as a musician playing guitar and also with his great writing of lyrics. He played a a small bar owned by his best friend " Chris" who he grew up with in California and every time he visits Florida he frequents the place know as Mulligans. While playing his tunes to a small and intimate crowd, he talked about his life and love for his family especially his " 3 3/4 year old daughter. Now we all listen to many celebs who say one thing and and act one way and can be totally different when not in the public eye. NOT THOMAS. This yo

THE BABYS ARE TRUE AS THEIR SONGS

Image
Many true music lovers and those who just appreciate a great tune have heard the music group THE BABYS for many years now. Songs like EVERY TIME I THINK OF YOU and ISN'T IT TIME still are played on radio in classic rock stations . Though the lineup has changed they still have the passion especially with their first album in 30 years. Many remember John Waite as the lead singer but a young man JOHN BISAHA has taken control with energy, passion and a true kinship and showmanship to his fans that truly appreciate his talent. JOEY SYKES is also a new member and he too has qualities that we all apreciate. The two founding members WALLY STOCKER and TONY BROCK still play and perform as they did from the beginning and I truly felt I was in a time warp back to the late 70;s and 80's. After their show they came out and sat down signing autographs ad chatting with everyone giving their fans the indiivual attention you do not see every day. They were all marvelous and my words can not

MEETING TANYA TUCKER AND SHEILA E.

Meeting different personalities their musical talents and type of music can range 180 degrees. This past weekend a couple of us decided to meet 2 women of musical talents that are as different as day and night. We admired them both and not being sellers but just fans there never is any pressure which always seems to make the moment more enjoyable and allows us to absorb more of the little things as we are not just focused in getting an autograph. TANYA TUCKER Country Music star whose has been performing since she was a teen and who has been around for some time and is presently on tour made a stop north of us where she performed many of her hits that made her a star that still shines today. Though most of the people enjoyed the music she only played for 75 minutes and quickly entered her tour bus with no intentions of leaving as we were told she was very tired. There were 3 of us who waited in a slight rain for about 25 minutes but she was not coming out. Her son was nice eno

AUTOGRAPHING may become EXTINCT ONE DAY

I have mentioned it on other occasions that there is a close circle of people who autograph and they share their success or failures in ones adventures in trying to get an autograph of a special personality. When the stories are good ones we all listen and remember in our memory banks that he or she was a good signer and usually is a pleasant experience. When they are bad ones , the stories are shared with all and makes one wonder why we do it it in the first place. Two friends who are serious graphers drove 2 1/2 hours to meet and see a presentation by Crispin Glover whose claim to fame was the original George McFly in the Back to the Future first film. I had met him a few years back and the moment was as strange as could be . I shared it with the friends who went up but had heard from someone else that he was signing many things after the show. I personally will not go into deep details as everything that I was told came directly from them . First the film was so dist

DOMINIQUE WILKINS NOT YOU ALSO

A friend of mine called me at the last moment to see if I was interested in listening to a lecture by NBA HAll of Famer Dominique Wilkins about lessons and his personal fight with Diabetes. I met him once a few years back at a rest stop on the Florida Turnpike and thought it might be a good opportunity to see the 11th all time scorer in NBA History. When we entered he was sitting at a table with about 5 people waiting their turn to sign a personal item they had. I brought along a Hall of Fame Poster with other NBA greats that had signed for me in the past looking to add him also. I approached the area when I was stopped by a handler who told me" It is either a picture with or a signed item. You can not do both? I could not believe it as there was ONLY 5 people waiting. I did not argue as he was to begin his talk in about 15 minutes and maybe he was trying to be focused. We listened to the lecture that lasted about 20 minutes and instead of taking a few moments to sign
