GETTING ANY AUTOGRAPH IS NOT EASY

If people who chase for any autograph for fun or profit we all have been asked "  how do you get to meet so many celebrities ?" Some believe we are successful every time but the true grapher will tell you it is a lot of work. Knowing that they may be there, locating and then getting to them is all part of the process. Many times it may run like clockwork but just like life you run into many bumps in the road. This happened this past week though successful in most non came easy.
Attended the TIM TEBOW golf Tournament where a few names participated and usually everyone is up close and a laid back atmosphere. Everything was not what we expected. Ropes kept everyone at bay so getting up close was not happening plus no items were. It allowed  Security were rude and even escorted a friend back to his car because he tried to get a photo signed. Though we did get some autographs it was not what we expected and definitely not enjoyable as in the past.
We drove to see THE BLUES BROTHERS at Strawberry Festival and all our information was that it was a venue that you can meet the performers. We positioned ourselves where we thought it was possible but found out that they too were having the infamous Meet and Greet. With about 20 fans who paid good money only to hear our respects fall on deaf ears to no avail.
We headed to one of our favorite events for an old time country music star but when getting there only to find out it was not a 2:30 event but 7:30. Lucky enough the manager took our items on the bus to be signed. Now some went great including TONY BENNETT, JON SEBASTIAN and even THE ORLANDO JAZZ FESTIVAL so It comes out even sometimes. Many times I will sit back and realize how cool it was to meet so and so but there is always so many variables from Travel, Time, Venues and the Personalities themselves that never make it so easy and sometimes it will wear you out. But down deep always there is a flame of passion and why we keep going back.🌞

We were watching the championship Basketball game when breaking news of the shooting of singer Christina Grimmie flashed across the bottom of the screen on one of the local TV stations here in Orlando. Though I was not very familiar with Christina though I did remember her powerful performance in the VOICE competion which she placed a respectful 3rd. What I was truly familiar was the venue where this tragedy happen called the PLAZA LIVE. I have seen many shows there and have met even more acts after with most signing autographs and taking photos with all their different fans. This senseless shooting happened in the lobby with a meet and greet after her show where fans get the opportunity to mingle up close and personal. Most Meet and Greet opportunities can cost an arm and leg and usually is really there for the singers or groups to add more money into their pocket . ACTORS JOHN ASHTON and LISA EILBACHER HAVE RESTORED MY FAITH IN HOLLYWOOD

The Central Florida Film Festival was showing BEVERLY HILLS COP and showing up for a Q&A were John Ashton and Lisa Eilbacher two of the main stars who played along side Eddie Murphy. They sat on stage and spoked candidly about the movie and acting in general. I did not know Slyvester Stallone was the first choice and only John saw the finished project and only once. John spoke passionately that true acting is found on the stage as movies are always in the hands of the editors and Director. Personally never looked at it that way but it makes perfect sense. John mentioned that with several takes the one you might think was your best may end of the cutting floor with the final choice by the Director. Lisa spoke of her famous curls that many talked about and how much fun they all had during filming. Lisa spoke of her role in An Officer and a Gentleman and giving it up to raise a family. As millions are THE WALKING DEAD Series is followed like no other show that I can remember and is without a doubt my favorite. Now like many celebrities they only time one gets up and close are at Autograph Shows where people pay for an autograph with their favorite star. Now I can not say I have never paid for an autograph but will never pay for a photo with. About twenty " professional graphers " were prepared at a site that we all know in hopes of meeting many celebs who were attending a one day event that some of us donated money for the survivors of the ORLANDO PULSE NIGHT CLUB SHOOTING. Several started to file by including Director Greg Nictero who though in a rush was pleasant to all. Some harassed LAUEN COHAN who even barked at many "You guys are ridiculous " and signed a few with a Scribble that no one will know in a few years.
