MEETING TANYA TUCKER AND SHEILA E.
Meeting different personalities their musical talents and type of music can range 180 degrees. This past weekend a couple of us decided to meet 2 women of musical talents that are as different as day and night. We admired them both and not being sellers but just fans there never is any pressure which always seems to make the moment more enjoyable and allows us to absorb more of the little things as we are not just focused in getting an autograph.
TANYA TUCKER Country Music star whose has been performing since she was a teen and who has been around for some time and is presently on tour made a stop north of us where she performed many of her hits that made her a star that still shines today. Though most of the people enjoyed the music she only played for 75 minutes and quickly entered her tour bus with no intentions of leaving as we were told she was very tired. There were 3 of us who waited in a slight rain for about 25 minutes but she was not coming out. Her son was nice enough to take our items on the bus and I have to say signed them beautifully with a style that shows a flare of style. Though we did not have the opportunity to get a picture with her , we were satisfied enough that we were smiling when we left.
SHEILA E was also in town most famous a a drummer who started with PRINCE was another I never had a chance to meet or interview. Again there were 3 of us ,fans only, and waited patiently for her to leave for the venue. The van pulled up and some of the band came out and lucky for us one of my friends spotted her as she going into the van so quickly I must have blinked and missed her. We approached the van with our request to sign a few items and the manager was terrific. He said No Problem and took our items and passed them to Sheila who was gracious and signed that with an autograph that does not look like any name I could know if I did not see her sign them. She thanked us and we in turned did the same . Though again we did not act fast enough to get a picture we all went away quite happy enough.
No Pictures just autographs on this weekend but still a great day in meeting two that I have not seen before.
