AUTOGRAPHING THE UP AND DOWNS

If I had a dollar for every time someone has asked us "How do You Meet all these People>. The truth of it it happens in many ways ,good and bad. They may be an old friend, connections with someone else. parties, conventions and a lot of planning and sometimes good luck. BUT with all the successes there is always disappointments. They may be TV or Movie Stars, Musicians you have followed for years or Sport figures who usually have the biggest ego. This past week a few of us went to meet and hopefully get something signed by first CROSBY, STILLS and NASH. Now I have met and hung out with Stills before and overall is a good guy. Nash usually is the friendly of the trio and Crosby is an out an out jerk when he is approached and is a rare signer if not at all. After the show Stills ran quickly to his bus,got on and off it went. Nash was parked on the side , no one saw him and off he went in his own bus. Crosby came out with 4 people surrounding him with about 10 fans calling him and all he did was smirk and raise his hand and off he went also . Strike Three.

The next day TED NUGENT was playing at a very small venue and his is another known that if you ask him to sign an album "20 Bucks". and then maybe he will sign if you give it to him. He was charging for a meet and greet before the show at 400 dollars per person. Unbelievable and 10 people paid it. Wonder if the IRS knows about those side events. Other members of the band including MICK BROWN famous as the drummer for DOKKEN was terrific. Chatted about everything for almost 30 minutes. Class Act. Nugent pulls up in a SUV and tells everyone I have to go( Wow,What a surprise) and never returned even when one of the guys wiped out 100 dollars and told the manager that he will pay that for Nugent to sign his 5 albums. I met Nugent at a book signing and back then he would charge 10 dollars for other items to be signed no matter how many. I am glad I took advantage of it then. So this week was basically a bust but as any good trooper ,you pull on your belt straps and remember Scarlet O'Hara"TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY"
