For Those We Have Lost

Every day we hear about someone we have lost in the celebrity world. You sit there and ponder about which movie  or song they may have played and most of the time it is a pleasant memory. Driving in my car WARRANTS "She's my Cherry Pie" came on and you can not help yourself but rock along with it no matter what you age may be. The lead singer was a great talent JANI LANE who besides having one of the iconic voices also had many demons mainly a drug habit that in the long run could not kick  and eventually took his life at a very young age.  My son and I had the true pleasure of meeting him about a month before he passed and You would never have thought the outcome was to be what it turned out with his passing. After he performed as the lead for Great White he met My son and I back stage, hung out with us and was one of the most friendliest Rock Stars I have ever met. He joked with us invited us to hang out almost as if he was appreciating his new friends and most important enjoying life to the fullest. When we said goodbye, I remember thinking I can not wait until he returns again so we can share some more experiences but that never happened. It saddens me to think about this talent that is lost here on earth but must be making some great music in Heaven with some of the other greats that have left us to soon.
