SINGERS DON MCLEAN AND JUDY COLLINS ARE AS GOOD AS AMERICAN PIE

It is not everyday you can meet 2 singing legends in one day no less in one night. But it happened tonight. Judy Collins and Don McLean were performing on the same bill and though my friends Schoolboy and John and I traveled about an hour we were only hoping for the best. And that is what we got. Ms COLLINS was the lead act and usually leaves after her number is finished, so we positioned ourselves where we felt she one leave. As we waited a gentleman approached us and saw that we were hoping to get the albums we had brought to be signed and was so helpful that he informed and arranged to have it done. As we waited another patron struck up a conversation that he came from Atlanta just to hear her . Paying it forward Schoolboy even gave him an extra album for he to gave and get signed. Now I have met Ms COLLINS before and the experience was not one of my favorites but this time she was so pleasant signing and taking pictures with us all. BIKE WEEK to see DAVID ALLEN COE play at the Iron Horse Saloon where he plays for free for all his fans every year. He played for 90 minutes and I truly felt was the best his voice and singing had been for sometime. After he performed he went backstage where several of us were hoping he'd sign our different items. I was lucky enough to share a few words and stories with his security detail and it paid off. He took my items back and signed them beautifully. As the old adage goes it's who you know. He came out later and signed for my buddies so all went well. He took pictures with dozens of his fans and part of his trademark, he never smiles. From there we headed down a few miles to catch former EAGLES  guitarist DON FELDER. We walked around and thought we missed the show as it was so dead and hardly anyone around.
